The Black Keys and Party Songs

With the release of her new album, Brothers, on Monday, there was no time to catch up with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. While they were in the late flight Party Songs to the UK because of Pat Carney feel bad, I fired some questions regarding their registration, their influence beyond the obvious, and their thoughts on the MP3 revolution ...

You can use the song "Tighten Up 'below!

With all the projects that are involved individually and collectively, how do you decide which songs to this project are not covered? There is sometimes bleeding from  Party Songs one session to another, is a project to inspire the next?
There are no direct blood flow from one to another. We start a project from scratch every day we walk into the studio and we almost never work on a song each for more than a day. Blakroc start with the song was in the early morning and late evening. Each song has been made. No rapper has to make Rihanna Songs  beats at home and practice. They were to occur, we hear the instrumental recorded during the day and verses on the spot and run it. I do not think there ever been a hip-hop album built the same way.

How does it differ from working with Danger Mouse to distinguish with other producers? She seems to like to work together, but he produced only a trace of Brothers. Do you think sometimes you need external force or a different view? There are other manufacturers would be happy with the future of work?
We have worked with many producers, but we love working with Brian. More than anything else, we attach a great time when we were together. We understand. It's like the Party Songs third brother. It's like the older brother who is a kind of tyrant. As Chet from Weird Science. He knows how to crack bust. Professional chop busting.

A quick question about the project Blakroc - as it has for the meetings is that? As you have to work the artists, or was it something more organic, that have been in gestation for a number of years?
Damon Dash called us out of nowhere and asked us if we wanted to do something - anything ... So we said, "like a record"? and that's how it started. We have a wish list of  top 40 songs our favorite mc and he did the rest. It was an incredible experience. Dame is the guy.

What inspired the album title and cover of Brothers? The lid is a bit "unorthodox!
We were inspired by many old albums on text books and journals covering. It is a strange thing to try to find a cover of an album, but Pat's brother, Michael, it really comes to life. He did an incredible job and we like.

Tell us a little "come to the right path 'of the enemy.' Lyrics to mind something from a novel by Roth or Updike.
Life on tour is crazy. I've seen things. Terrible things. Help me ...
